I know that this site is about Kalamazoo; however, when I ran across this email, I laughed because so many of these really seem to be true. Your idea of a traffic jam is 40 cars waiting to pass an orange barrel. 6. It's easy to get Vernor's Ginger Ale, Sanders Hot Fudge sauce and Faygo Pop. 7. You know how to pronounce "Mackinac." 8. You've had to switch on the "heat" and the "A/C" in the same day. 9. You bake with soda and drink a pop. 10. The movie "Escanaba in Da Moonlight" wasn't funny. You consider it a documentary. 11. The word "thumb" has geographical meaning, rather than anatomical significance. 12. You show people where you grew up by pointing to a spot on the back of your left hand. 13. Traveling coast-to-coast means driving from Port Huron to Muskegon. 14. When giving directions, you refer to "A Michigan Left." 15. You know that Kalamazoo not only exists, but it is either raining or snowing there. 16. Your year has 2 seasons: winter and construction. 17. Owning a Japanese car was a hanging offense in your hometown.
