Just away from the intersection of Oakland Avenue and Winchell quietly sits the Kleinstuck Preserve. Truly a natural gem in the heart of Kalamazoo, the Preserve is a destination for neighbors, wildlife and many species of plants. Over the winter months, the Stewards of Kleinstuck, have embarked on a long range plan to help rejuvenate the Preserve and restore many of the native plants and forestation.

Does anyone have the address or directions to the trail head for Kleinstuck Preserve? Thanks.

Mark,
I can get you a picture of the Kleinstuck bald cypress. It is well known as it stands right on the main walking loop. To contact me or to connect with someone who can tell you more about the tree, go to : http://www.stewardsofkleinstuck.org/contactus.htm

I am in the process of writing an article on bald cypresses that are possibly native to Michigan. I am told that there is a very large tree in Kleinstuck Nature Preserve. Is this correct? Do you have any photographic material available of the tree? Any information on this matter would be greatly appreciated!
