Roof Sit 2009 is designed to raise awareness of the problem of child abuse and neglect and to raise money to support programs at The Community Healing Centers that treat children who have been abused as well as programs that work to prevent child abuse. The children who receive these services live right here in our community and need our help. The 2009 Roof Sit is scheduled for June 25, 26, and 27.
This Saturday May 9, 2008 is the Annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive hosted by the National Association of Letter Carriers. Kalamazoo area letter carriers will be collecting non-perishable food items that are set out by your mailbox. (No expired items or glass containers) Local food pantries will benefit from their collection. Many thanks to the efforts and energy of our local food carriers!
